This, of course, is insane. I've been assessing these by a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately metric that I assume most polls use, and I think it's rather ridiculous to have polls after Championship week, when most teams must lose, and the really good ones don't care all that much (they've got a lock on a NCAA bid after all) while mediocre ones (such as Syracuse) play their best week of the year.

I actually think Gonzaga is not a great team, and has almost no chance to get to Indy, but they are my number. It is all a foolish consistency that I will have to change next year.

Well I watched the game with Jones and I almost called it.

I can't belive it, but I think Devin is right. What a bad coaching job! Why on Earth would you go for so MANY 3 pointers given that they are a low percentage shot, and you have one of the most dominant low-post players in the country???

After the time-out with 13.something seconds left, I said to Jones "We are NOT going for a two, we are going to jack a 3, and we are going to miss." Well, Vaden ended up hitting the 3. They ended up OVER-THROWING the entire court, which I do not think I have ever seen. That is a 90 foot court! That is like tossing a basketball 35 yards. Amazing. We lucked out! We would have had the lead a long time ago, if we had gone inside. We spent most of the game jacking threes while they went inside to their big men. Earl Calloway was great, driving time after time (is he related to Rick????). But even he, got caught in the air under the hoop, and chucked it up left handed. Man, we escaped!

In other news, Adam Morrison, willed his team to victory even though it looked as if an upset was immenient. By the way, is it just me, or is that guy possessed by demons? He kept bouncing the ball off his head and growling at no one. Strange. Even if they had lost, he is going to go high in the NBA draft. The 2nd coming of the hick from French Lick?
